Could someone please explain why Apple decided to not support virtual memory on accelerated SEs and Pluses? I've heard the excuse that the ROMs on those machines don't support the necessary traps needed for virtual memory, but I don't buy that, considering Connectix can do it. Apple told accelerator manufacturers that it would work on their boards, and so manufacturers told their customers it would work. And in beta versions it did work. So why did Apple pull the carpet out from under us? Is this their revenge for those of us who didn't pay for the official Apple SE/30 upgrade (which they FINALLY made somewhat affordable)?
