I just noticed in Microsoft Word: if you use the Character... Dialog to set fonts etc., the menu gives all point sizes (in increments of 1) for TrueType fonts, in some cases from 6pt to 28pt, in others from 9pt to 35 pt. Does anyone know the reason for the difference? It is impressive that MS Word behaves as if it is TrueType aware, given that I bought my copy more than a year ago. It's a pity though that Apple wasn't able to make the proper italics fonts work properly (Adobe got this right with ATM). -- Philip Machanick philip@pescadero.stanford.edu
