I have spent some time unsuccessfully trying to install System 7. I have now tried every combination of installation possibilities I can think of including installing from Diskcopy images mounted using MountImage; from floppies - "over" the existing system; onto the hard disk after "hiding" or removing the old system... The most consistent message I get is the there is insufficient memory for installation. The machine (a Mac II) has 5 MB memory. The message is the same even for the installation without an existing system so INITS don't seem to be the problem. Memory cache is off. This has not been done using Multifinder. There is plenty of free hard disk space (~15K). We have limited (no?) official support for System 7 here yet, so I'd be very grateful for any suggestions to get the thing running. Thanks, Andrew Mackinnon
