Greetings, I've got a IIx, and I'm hoping to make it 32-bit clean sometime soon, either with MODE32, or if Apple gets it in gear and releases a ROM upgrade. I'm hoping to go 32-bit primarily to run larger amounts of virtual (I have 8Mb of RAM, but I have 3 NuBus cards in, so I can't use even 16Mb of virtual). However, I wouldn't mind at all expanding my core memory. The problem is this: 4Mb SIMMS are pretty expensive. Even if I only buy 4 (to take the IIx to 20Mb), that's still probably $600+. I was wondering if it's possible to use 2Mb SIMMS in a IIx. I know that they are available for some of the new machines (IIsi?), but I didn't know if these would work in the ole' IIx. Even if they do, will they be cost-effective? Anyone? Thanks, --Mike
