Hello and welcome to the System 7 What I Want to Know Show. What I want to know is why the ics# application icons (ie the little ones that get used in the Apple Menu and on the menu bar) can't be edited on black and white macs (my SE, for example). If they can be displayed, surely I should be able to edit them. But not so. Resedit doesn't gray them out, which should mean they ARE editable, but when I try to open one to edit it, Resedit gives me "Sorry, but this resource requires Colour Quickdraw. Why don't you go back to using a word processor or something?" Ugh. I'm getting a little annoyed at the grungy little blobs the system is giving me instead of icons, and I want to know what I can do about it.
