[comp.sys.mac.system] Problems editing desktop pattern

DN5@psuvm.psu.edu (D. Jay Newman) (06/10/91)

Hi:

I have been using System 7.0 for a while now, and there is one minor
annoyance. When I edit the desktop pattern from the General cdev, I
see the patterns in color, but the fatbits representation is in black and
white only! This makes it so hard to edit a color pattern that I have it
on gray...

Now, my configuration is somewhat unusual, but here it is:
Mac IIfx, main monitor is Apple 2-page run from an 8-24 board, aux monitor
(sitting to the left) is an Apple hi-res color monitor using the old
   Apple board, 8 meg RAM.

The 2-page monitor is set to black and white (1 bit gray), and the color
monitor is set to 8 bit color.

Also, is there any way to have the disk icons show up on the monitor which
doesn't have the menubar? I'd prefer to have ALL the finder stuff on the
monitor without the menubar. I do have my trash over there, but the icons
for my disks keep coming up on the main monitor. :-(

Thanks!
