I recently installed System 7, placing it in a separate folder on my hard disk. (I'm not ready to commit to the plunge fully just yet.) To switch between system 6 and system 7, I move system files in and out of system folders. I've seen a couple of strange things after I switch back to system 6: 1. Background printing is no longer available. This happens whether I use the old printer driver software or the new system 7 printer driver. 2. When I switch back to system 6, the system starts up in the Finder only. If I enable MultiFinder and restart, the access light on my hard disk flashes about every 10 or 15 seconds. I don't know what could be causing these disk accesses. Can anyone shed any light on this behavior? Also, has anyone had problems with WriteNow v. 2.2 under System 7? I had problems with the right margin but I haven't experimented enough to know if it's consistent. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Eric Smith "Read my lips: No nude Texans!" erics@infoserv.com -George Bush, clearing up a miscommunication
