[comp.sys.mac.system] system 6.0.? for which hardware

andre@cs.pitt.edu (06/18/91)

i know this has been discussed to death, but i didn't think to archive
the results. so, one more time:

1) i have a mac II with 8 meg, coprocessor, lots 'o inits, macsbug, i use
resedit and think c and basically push the machine as much as
possible. i'm currently running 6.0.4 which doesn't crash too often.
i tried 6.0.5 and started crashing a lot (almost everytime i had a
number of applications in memory and was futzing with resedit).
should i stay with 6.0.4 or will i be safe to go to 6.0.7? (i would
like to install true type).

2) same question but with a mac+, 4 meg, no coprocessor and i have yet
to try 6.0.5 on the plus

thanks.

You can run System 6.0.7 on all models of Macintosh from the Plus forward.
