[comp.sys.mac.system] Hiding App's on switching

phil@cutmcvax.cs.curtin.edu.au (Phil Wild) (06/21/91)

I was just wondering if there was any neato utility out there like
justclick or the like that allows switching between applications wher
the application being switched out is automatically hidden as the other
application is switched in?

Sounds good to me! :-P

regards

Phil

Until such appears, just remember to hold the option key down while
clicking on another app's windows. At least that beats using the menu.

OK maybe I should make myself a little clearer!
Yes, I know the option key will hide applications as you switch from one
application to the other via windows and pull down menus.

What I would like is a hot key or function key that would flick through
all the running applications and hide the ones I am leaving.

reagards

Well, there is just such a neato utility. It's called Switch and
the latest version I've seen includes the hide feature (v 1.2)
I found the original version in comp.sys.mac.apps and the author
just mailed me the new version hot off the press (or whatever)
The hiding feature works by holding the option key down while
clicking the menu-bar icon. Although Switch does have a hot-key
switching feature, the hiding doesn't work with it.

Hey, I like it. (and it works with file-sharing, for those of
you who've noticed that some of these utilities don't)
