I'm having a problem with aliases. I know they're supposed to be able to find their original documents even if they're moved around, but my aliases can't seem to locate them even after a simple move. I had an application in : MyHardDisk:Apps:Foxbase and then I simply moved it to: MyHardDisk:Apps and my alias couldn't find the original. When I made a new alias and dropped it in the Apple Menu Items folder, it didn't even replace the old alias, though the names were identical. Somehow it kept the two of them there, one working alias, one non-working. Anyone have any idea what might cause this? My only speculation is the hard disk driver software, Silverlining 5.28/11, which should be updated to 5.31 now. But more tempermental things like virtual memory work, so I find it strange that something like aliases wouldn't. Thanks in advance! Justin Leavens
