A friend of mine wants to use an Epson printer instead of an ImageWriter (use what you already have it's cheaper...). The problem is that he doesn't know how to do it, or have access to the net to ask himself. As I remember there was a Grappler (or similarly named thing) that would sit between a Mac and a printer and convert protocols. Does this device still exist, and who makes it. The other option I gave was to get an Epson printer driver. But again, I do not know where to get them, how good they are, cost, etc... (I have an ImageWriter on MY Mac...) Any help any of you could give would be helpful. Please mail responses to me, I'll forward them, and post a summary if all of you want to know also. Thanks a million in advance, -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon Buller jonb@vector.dallas.tx.us ..!texbell!vector!jonb FROM Fortune IMPORT Quote; FROM Lawyers IMPORT Disclaimer;

Yes, the grappler does exist, it is made by Orange Micro and it works pretty well. If the printer is an LQ series printer, Epson makes Mac drivers for them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Consp22@Bingsuns.pod.binghamton.edu | SUNY-B Computer Consultants - | | Consp22@Bingvaxu.cc.binghamton.edu | Trying to keep the world safe from | |---------------------------------------| the SUNY-B Computer users. | | Consultant/Techie - World Computers |-------------------------------------| | Computer Cons. - SUNY Binghamton | Darren `Mac Hack' Handler | |-----------------------------------------------------------------------------| I don't know if I am going to heaven or hell, I just hope God grades on a curve
