For those who expressed interest, the following article came
out of the September 13, 1983 issue of the Rocky Mountain News:

	ARTIST MAY LEAVE 'COUNTY'

Berke Breathed, 26, author and artist of the popular
comic strip "Bloom County", which appears in the Rocky
Mountain News said Monday he may stop producing the strip
if he can't negotiate a new contract with the Washington
	Post Writer's Group.

A recent conflict with the syndicate occurred when it
wanted to use Bloom County characters on glasses to be
sold at a fast-food chain, Breathed said. He opposes
that but has no contractual rights over commerical
use of characters in the strip.

   That's all folks ...
