A couple of weeks ago, I posted a note asking for opinions on the Mac
Portable. Several people on the net replied. Thank you.
Here is summary of the replies.
(1) The Mac Portable has 1 Mb on motherboard and is expandable to
2 Mb from Apple. Third party manufacturers raise the limit to 6, or
even 9 Mb. Regular SIMM strip won't work because the Mac Partable
uses static RAM.
(2) The Mac Portable use a 3-1/2"" hard disk from Connor. It's
smaller than regular hard disks and consumes less power. The Portable
will turn the hard disk off automatically when not in use (to save
power).
(3) Additional comments from the net: "I love it", "I'd buy it"
"The display panel is very sensitive to light, which may
		make viewing difficult".
