[comp.sys.mac.misc] Moving Mac graphics to an IBM PC

fry@brauer.harvard.edu (David Fry) (07/12/90)

My girlfriend has made some simple organizational charts in MacDraw
on her Macintosh. They are composed mainly of lines, boxes, text,
etc. The company she's working for is very much True Blue, and would
like her to transfer the charts to some IBM software package; they
don't really care which software, just so it's on an IBM.
However, the resulting files should be in an editable
object-oriented format; that is, something as simple as converting
to a GIF bitmap wouldn't be good enough.

Not knowing much about the IBM world myself, could someone please
tell me about any IBM graphics programs that can read MacDraw PICT
files (these are a standard in the Mac world and I would expect some
IBM programs can read them) once they are transfered to an MS-DOS
disk?

Please respond by e-mail since I don't necessarily read this
newsgroup on a regular basis.

Thanks in advance.
