I am looking for some recommendations/advice/general info regarding Mac database/? programs... Basically, I have a database on VMS right now which consists of some text, some floating point numbers, some other formats and one vector of floating point numbers corresponding to each object (the vector is actually an image.) I am looking for some sort of software for a Mac which is capable of doing the usual database-lookup tasks. It must also have extensive graphing capabilities. I will need to do scatter plots as well as other forms of graphs. It would be very helpful if the program allowed us to perform any math manipulations we wanted on the fields, then graph the results... Any advice at all would be helpful. Price, power, product support, etc are all considerations. If you currently own the software, please let me know what you think of it...
