About 2 years ago I purchased the Impulse Sound digitizer, which was THE standard before MacRecorder. I have had no problems with it until now. I recently went from an SE to a IIcx and today decided to digitize some new sounds. When I hooked up the impulse (to the printer port) and tried to record, all I would get is a high pitched scream (which goes away if it turn off the power to the digitizer). I tried all sorts of things, including, booting under finder, turning off all my inits, etc. No help. Has anyone out there experienced something similar with this product. I don't think I will get any support from the manufacturer since I think Impulse went out of business. Thanks in advance, Howard Moskovitz Locus Computing P.S. This is just another chapter in the book of things that no longer work on my IIcx that worked on my SE. And I moved up to the IIcx to preserve my investment in software! :-)

Ignore the previous article. I discovered that my problem was that I had Appletalk active on that port and it was interfering with the digitizer. I did, however, discover that the version of the Soundwave software that I am using is incompatible with either System 6.05 or 32 bit quickdraw. It did however work with 6.0.3. Howard
