I just got off the phone with MacAvenue in regards to a problem with a Seiko color monitor that I ordered from them. As shipped, the monitor has 2 problems: 1. A dim "shimmering" in the background in the upper 1/3 of the screen. (kind of looks like magnetic interference, but it occurs regardless of monitor placement or power source). 2. The image area is not square to the bottom of the monitor. Their response: New monitor being sent via Federal Express, with a prepayed return shipment invoice. Basically I just trade monitors when the Fed Ex. guy shows up. Talk about customer service... I always separate the good companies from the bad by how they handle the situation when there's a problem. I have to give MacAvenue 2 thumbs up on this one. My impressions on the monitor: Apart from the above problems, the it has fairly nice picture. It uses a trinitron tube, so the picture is very sharp, and colors seem bright, not washed out. On the minus side, the monitor has a built-in tilt/swivel stand made out of a unnecessarily soft, flimsy plastic. The tilt/swivel action itself has a very poor feel; I don't think I'll want to readjust the viewing angle very frequently because of this. Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with MacAvenue except that of a satisfied customer. Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah.
