[comp.sys.mac.misc] Low-end Mac support: How much, how long?

    I'm considering buying an SE now that the prices are coming down,
_BUT_ I don't want to be stuck where I am now (I've got a 512KE that 
no one is writing software for anymore).  What system does the SE use?
Will it support system 7? If not, what kind of support is Apple 
promising for these "low-end" machines?  In other words, would I be
better off waiting a while and saving my money to get something with
more staying power?
