Now that I have finally figured out how to create icons for applications that don't have them, or applications where the icons won't show up, I'm curious about something. If the bundle bit of an application is not set, its icons won't show up on the desktop. It seems quite a few of my applications have unset bundle bits. In fact, it seems that bundle bits of various applications mysteriously turn themselves off! Or, is this just a symptom of a hyperactive imagination? John Feinberg SUNY Buffalo ps is there an INIT out there that will give you a more comprehensive 'get info' box on a file, right from the finder? I have the desktop DA, but it seems to crash whenever I change any of the settings from multifinder.
