Yesterday I received a catalog in the mail from MacWarehouse with a full page ad selling FullWrite Professional for $55. The ad says this is a limited time offer while supplies last. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is Ashton-Tate pulling the plug on FullWrite, or just giving a huge volume discount to MacWarehouse? Also, should I buy this program? I've heard a lot of good things about it, but I've also heard it is slow and memory-hungry. I'm using a Mac SE with 2.5MB RAM and a 20MB hard drive. -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scott Forbes University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign forbes@uicsrd.csrd.uiuc.edu Center for Supercomputing Research & Development Disclaimer: This job doesn't pay much, but it does wonders for my .signature

This is a better deal. I also called A-T and they will want $50 to upgrade Full Impact to 2.0. They had no official word on when or what the FullWrite Pro upgrade is/will be. Hope this helps. It is a memory hog. It is also the best word processor I have ever seen on any machine, despite these (important) deficiencies. I will not use anything else for my writing (mostly physics papers). I recommend it highly, but you'd better test it yourself to see how important the speed is for you. Jonathan Simon Dept. of Physics University of California Santa Barbara

MacConnection is now selling it for $39. This is a great price for a fantastic program, I use it all the time and I love it!!
