There's some good news and some bad news. First, the good. I'm happy to say that my request for several PD/Shareware fonts has been getting lots of attention, not only from people who have the fonts (or know where I can get them) but from LOTS of people who don't have the fonts and want me to send them to them if/when I get them. Also, I've already received Helvetica Fractions and Shpfltnat (previously listed as SharpnFlat); thanks to those who got them to me. Now, the bad news. :( Unfortunately (and probably because I'm not into the whole "computer-thang" like I used to be) I was under the impression that the net worked in a "slightly" different way. Since I was educated differently quite recently, I'd like to ask that you *NOT* binhex and send me those fonts, since it will cause, er, problems on my end. Instead, I would very much appreciate it if you would stick 'em on a floppy or three and mail them (address will follow) via US Snail to me. In return, I'll gladly mail you the font(s) you want back in return, if I have them. Also, to those self-giving souls who asked me to send them the fonts I asked for, send a self-addressed stamped envelope and a disk or two to me and I'll mail them to you if/when I get them. The PD & Shareware fonts I CURRENTLY (7/29) have are as follows: ArchiMedium, Armadillo, Bill's Dingbats, Canaith, Carol's Chunks, Chester, Chicago Symbols, Cuneifont, El Garrett, Flintstone, Helvetica Fractions, International, LaserLondon, Middleton, Modern Print Bold, New Garrett, OCR, PostCrypt (the coolest!), Prisma, Quantum, Russian, Shpfntlat, and Stalingrad. All the other fonts I listed in my previous message (excluding the ones I received since then, listed here) are ones I still am looking for. If anyone sends a disk (with or without fonts for me), I will send back whatever fonts I have listed here, plus any that I may have gotten in the interim. (When you send the disk, send a list of what fonts you want. If I have the font, I'll send it to you.) Please note that ALL of these fonts are PostScript fonts and are NOT ATM COMPATIBLE (except for Middleton, which is ATM compatible). The address to send is: TypeSpecs, c/o Steve Godun 401 Crestwood Street Piscataway, NJ 08854 (SALES PITCH: I also do 1000 dpi laser output of Macintosh files at $2.50 per page. If you have a file you would like output, send the file to me and a check to cover the cost of output + S&H back to you and I will get it back to you ASAP. Support for most major WP & DTP formats.)
