Sometime last week, I posted a message about MacWarehouse selling Ashton-Tate's FullWrite Professional for $55, and asked why this might be happening, and whether I should buy it. First of all, thanks to the many netters who have pointed out that MacConnection is selling FullWrite at a better price ($39), and is also bundling it with Full Impact at a bargain-basement rate. Once again the net saves me valuable time and money. :-) As to the question of *why* Ashton-Tate is discounting FullWrite, I've heard two possible reasons: they are trying to "flood" the Mac WP market and cut into Microsoft's numerical advantage, -or- there is a new version of FullWrite coming out soon, they made too many copies of the current version, and are dumping them to clear the market for the new, improved version.
