Finally I fixed my fonts problem. To remind again, I created Word 4.0 documents in one font in an SE/30, and when I brought them in a disk to a Mac IIx for printing they opened in another font. As people suggested, the problem was confused font ID numbers. As one person suggested if the document is saved in the RTF Word format then the font name is also saved and the document opens correctly. However, figures created through MacDraw and embedded in the document are still not in the correct font. The problem was finally solved by removing BOTH fonts involved in the mix up and reinstalling them in the system. Apparently this assigns to them different IDs.
