Hello to who ever reads this. I hve some basic questions about the
posibility of turning my mac+ into a computer of the 90's. While the machine
is still a superstar as far as I am concerned, and it has served me faithfully
for 4 yrs now, it is time to upgrade to a faster CPU. I have some general
questions though. O.K. here we go.....
1=> Should I buy an daughter board or a new product from apple??
While i have always been a strong suporter of apple, lately I have had
may doubts about the company. There newer cpus are expensive. I can
get an excellent daughter board that will outperform the newer macs!!!
I am quite upset that apple has decided not to support the plus anymore
but I guess they know what is best!!!
2=> Are ther any products that will allow the mac+ to use a color monitor, and
are ther any products that will add new bus slots to a mac+??
As I see it these are the only reasons to buy a new apple product. If
some third party developers have put something together then I will have
to seriously consider just upgrading my plus.
I will be going to the mac world expo in boston next week. so if any one has any suggestions, I would be more then happy to hear them. I have given this a lot of thought lately, and I am well aware of the accelerators availabe out there
but the color and newbus search drew a big blank.
thanks in advance
