I'm baffled. I'm trying to get B-News running under A/UX 2.0 and am having no luck. The same machine ran the same B-News software under A/UX 1.0 very well. After the machine was upgraded to 2.0 rnews/inews processes just hung. They didn't accumulate CPU time, they just hung. I recompiled news after the upgrade and nothing changed. I'm not using db[mz] if that makes a difference. I've installed B-News on probably at least 8 different variants of Unix but I've never seen anything like this problem. I assume that somebody has been successful in getting news running on 2.0 - if so, would you please help me out? I've got a bunch of people who are getting anxious to read news again!!! If anybody has a localize.sh or any patches which make things work, that would be great! Any pointers, hints, etc. would also be very much appreciated. Also, could somebody tell me if I'm going to have problems with rn as well. If I am, what's the solution? Thanks! -Bob ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bob Barker (612) 934-2136 Robert Barker & Associates ...!uunet!rosevax!bungia!wd0gol!barker barker@wd0gol.mn.org ...!amdahl!bungia!wd0gol!barker
