Can somebody fill me in on a good networking program that I can use to let a program running on two Mac +s update several files on a Mac/SE 30 hard drive without actually copying the files over to the Mac +s memory? These Mac +s also need to be able to pull some programs off the Mac/SE 30 hard drive for execution. The Mac/SE 30 has to be able to run applications like Pagemaker, ect.. at the same time ( acting as a server/client ). I also need the network to be able to let the programs that are running on all three Macs access a laser printer ( most likely the Epson EPL-6000, HP IIP or HP DeskWriter) without conflict ( some sort of spooling program?? ). What kind of networking cable runs are going to be involved in this system? I am looking for one Networking program to do it all :) or maybe a networking program and a spooling program that will also work. Cost is a big factor and security is not really a big issue!!!!
