I am in the market for a Mac Plus accelerator that takes this old workhorse up to 68030. I have read the recent articles in the Mac magazines and this is one question that eludes me......can any accelerator for the Mac Plus access more that 4 megs (i.e. 8megs)? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= = John DeRosa, Motorola, Inc, Cellular Infrastructure Division = = e-mail: ...uunet!motcid!derosaj = = motcid!derosaj@uunet.uu.net = = Applelink: N1111 = = I do not hold by employer responsible for any information in this message = = nor am I responsible for anything my employer may do or say. = =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Nothing's impossible, I guess; but the Mac Plus ROMs start at 0x400000 (4 Meg to humans), so unless the accelerator includes a new ROM set (highly unlikely) you'll have a hard time exploiting more than 4Mb. That's not to say there isn't some hack to do the job, but don't expect any Microsoft products to run :-) =Ned Horvath=
