Some application or file on my HD has caused the file ID label (i.e., the string of text like "Startup document", "Control Panel device", etc.) to things like "This cannot be mov[ed]..." etc. I am unaware of the file(s) which have enacted this change. Short of reinstalling my System how can I, armed with ResEdit 1.2, fix this irritating problem? Could some wise soul out there in netland explain how these file ID labels are stored and changed?
