[comp.sys.mac.misc] Stanford Archives

kmagel@plains.NoDak.edu (ken magel) (08/16/90)

Since the Stanford archives of info-mac still appear not to be updated
and the backlog of software is approaching seven weeks, I would be willing to
make up to 50 megabytes of space available on plains.nodak.edu for
temporary storage of new mac software until the problem at sumac is resolved.
If the moderators at Sumac would send me their archive-queue of stuff, I can
have it online and available for anonymous ftp within 48 hours of receiving it.
If you know how to contact the moderators, please inform them of this
offer and ask them to respond. Thankjs

I wish to repeat my offer of two weeks ago to house the newest stuff for
the Stanford macintosh archives until they are ready to resume placing new
files on their machine. I have 50 megabytes available for this service and
could expand further, if needed. If you have contact with the Stanford
people directly, please pass this offer on to them. I did not receive any
reply to my previous offer. Furthermore, there has not been a single
comment of status report posted by the Stanford people even though the
situation is now almost four weeks long and continuing.
The backlog of new files at the archive dates back to July 1st and
continues to grow. When will we see some action???

Why don't you just contact them yourself, using the address I sent you
via e-mail? It's info-mac-request@sumex-aim.stanford.edu.
They are generally quite good at replying.
