I had my original Mac 128k power supply finally go out this week. I sent it to the shop for repairs and they used a kit to rebuilt the power supply using "beefier components". Now my PRAM will not hold the settings I choose, and neither can I set the clock using the General cdev. I tried replacing the battery but it didn't help. I tried removing the battery for a long time and then replacing it. I tried booting from a system folder on a floppy disk (as opposed to my hard disk system folder. None of this helped. I don't recall having this problem ever before. If you have any ideas what is going on, let me know ASAP. --Bruce My system is: Mac 128, upgraded with Levco's Monster Mac (2M Ram) with SCSI port, an Imagewriter I and a 40Mb h/d. -- *** These are my opinions and not necessarily those of MGC *** Bruce Holm / (503) 626-7000 Mentor Graphics Corp. / USENET: bruceh@pdx.mentor.com Beaverton, OR 97005-7191 / UUCP: ...!uunet!mntgfx!bruceh
