We use MathType and Expressionist quite a bit here. Some groups also like to use ATM, which leads to wanting the fonts "harmonized" (or the equivalent) so people don't have to wade through the various BI... etc. fonts all the time. The net result is that the font IDs may be different on some groups machines. The PICTs MathType and Expressionist produce don't seem to have the fonts identified by name, so they have to be re-imported into the appropriate equation editor on a machine with a different font structure. Before I complain to Design Science and Prescience, I'd like to know if it's possible to include the font name, rather than ID, in a PICT resource. Other solutions, such as just renaming the "styled" fonts so they're invisible, or getting Adobe Type Reunion, are possibilites, but are not general enough. The same problem exists when we want to send documents to to other sites that we have no control over.
