After posting my list of indispensable INITs, I got a couple of queries about Alarming Events. I couldn't reply to the addresses given, so I'm posting my response here. Alarming Events is a combination INIT/desk accessory that maintains a schedule of your appointments. You can schedule meetings with the DA calendar and have the INIT notify you of the event when it comes up. You can specify recurring events and request advance notification of events. It also maintains a to-do list for you. Alarming Events is published by CE Software (the QuickMail/QuicKeys/DiskTop people). I received my copy of Alarming Events free for review as a newsletter editor for a user group. I have no other connection with CE Software.
