I'm always puzzled when I see complaints like this about the alleged lack
of success of shareware, postcardware, etc.  How in the world could you
know that tens of thousands of Mac users use init cdev?  Maybe you can see
that lots of people have downloaded it from your favorite BBS, but who
knows what proportion of those people actually continued to use the program?
