[comp.sys.mac.misc] NEW LOW COST MACS

bruceh@mentor.com (Bruce Holm) (09/05/90)

Did any one else catch the article in the newest EE Times (Sept. 3)
issue (page 101)? It previews what the new macs will be, although
no definite pricing info is stated. As for time of introduction,
it sounds like during the next couple weeks.

One dissappointment is that color versions of the IIsi and IILC won't
be available till next year. Also the power available for peripheral
slots is lower (whimpy) and I have heard the rumor that the memory
used is different again (meaning it will initially be expensive till
the volume rises in sales).

I sure hope the price is LOW to compensate for these shortcuts.

I am selling my MacII system, so I can upgrade to a IIci.
The system consists of:

MacII CPU w/ 2 meg RAM and 40meg Quantum/Apple internal
800K 3.5" floppy drive
Apple 13 inch RGB monitor
Extended Keyboard
8-bit Apple Color Video Board (256 colors)
Tons of shareware, System 6.0.5, Hypercard 1.2

I'm asking $3900. Call or write e-mail.
