[comp.sys.mac.misc] Changing the Macintosh Display from White to Black

johan@ut-emx (Johan van Zanten) (09/18/90)

The "CloseView" Control Panel Device, which Apple started distributing
with System 6.0 (I think) will not only switch the blacks to whites and whites
to blacks, but also magnify. With the 6.0.5 set of System disks, it is on
the "Utilities 2" disk, in the folder, "System Folder Additions". To
install it, drag it to your System folder, reboot, and the open the Control
Panel to configure.

	Have fun...

Close view might be useful, if I could turn off the 'zoom' indicator
rectangle without rebooting. As is, it is quite annoying.

I believe there is an init that just inverts the screen BTW.

While we're on the subject of CloseView, has anyone gotten it to work
on a IIfx? My machine crashes when I have it installed.
