I'm terribly sorry to clutter the group again, BUT now my system is doing something wierd again (but with a different twist). Files are losing their applications. When I open a folder full of MacWrite or <insert application> files, they show up as "document." If I click on the file, it gives me the "application not found" message. If, however, I open the application I can open the file with no problem. In addition, all the other <insert application> files in that window suddenly remember where they came from (until I close the window and open it again). I haven't lost any data, but the amusement value is starting to wear off and I'd like to make it go away. As usual, the systems area at work is totally without a clue as to what the problem could be. Help??? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Chris p.s. already tried rebuilding the Desktop...no dice. ------------------------------+--------------------------- Chris Mauritz |D{r det finns en |l, finns cmm1@cunixa.cc.columbia.edu |det en plan! I would like to thank all who answered my pleas of help. I REALLY appreciated the tips. The netter who suggested that the bundle bits were trashed and to try Bundaid get the medal this time. All is now in order. Thanks again! Chris ------------------------------+--------------------------- Chris Mauritz |D{r det finns en |l, finns cmm1@cunixa.cc.columbia.edu |det en plan!
