I have a couple of questions regarding setting up a color background pattern. First, why is it that in the General control panel, there are only four color patterns to select from, and where are these patterns stored? Is there any way to add more so that you can have a wider range from which to select? Second, I've tried patching in a couple of background patterns using ResEdit to swap out the ppat of ID=16. When I do that, however, the color selection boxes in the background part of the general cdev disappear, but now I can select from the eight or so different black and white patterns. And sometimes when I run certain applications, the color background is wiped out. Sometimes it will come back by rebooting, and sometimes I have to reinstall the system. What is going on with these ppats? Thanks for any help. -- thomas willett Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta gt4586c@prism.gatech.edu "Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent." - Salvor Hardin (Foundation)
