I'm in need of some information... I'm taking a PC microsystems class and have been learning about PC garbage like File Allocation Tables, the Root directory, how files are stored on disk, segmented-memory (ha ha, this is funny). Well, my professor is giving me a chance to show off the Motorola side of things...well, I know how memory is dealt with, and I know the hardware... What I would like is information on the Mac equivalent of the FAT and root directory entries. There has to be something that keeps track of all of that, and I'm assuming that it's the Desktop? Oh well, any information concerining this would be appreciated. Any good books on it? -- $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Rob Pickering internet: pickerin@apsvax.aps.muohio.edu NeXT: pickerin@next4.acs.muohio.edu bitnet : rp1voper@miamiu.bitnet "I said,"Well...You know when you are sitting on a chair and you lean back so you're just on two legs and then you lean too far and you almost fall over but just at the last second you catch yourself?
