Does anyone know of any good partitioning software that will allow me to lock my partitions? I'm trying to find something inexpensive or shareware. Send all replies to: Livesey@Zodiac.rutgers.edu

SilverLining from LaCie is the best I know of. The partitions work with the regular Mac OS and also with A/UX, and are more robust than the kind which fake partitions by using files for them. A partition can be locked with a password, and also can be not mounted by default, if you prefer to only mount it when needed. SilverLining includes good disk diagnostic software. It costs about $100, and is well worth the money. LaCie (800) 999-0143 Russell Owen owen@raven.phys.washington.edu Astronomy Dept. FM-20 University of Washington Seattle, WA 98195
