Does anyone know if this version of Red Ryder is public domain? If not, where can I obtain a copy of the last public domain version of this program? Thanks, J.S. Furse Computer Services

(But what is it? What do we call old versions of programs, versions which are no longer supported??) The last shareware version, also not supported, is 9.4. But warning: version 9.4 was not written with the 68020/030 in mind, and can cause havoc on such machines. The author, Scott Watson, recommends strongly against using 9.4 nowadays, as it's too old and unreliable on new systems and under newer System software. You can give it a try, but... I suggest you get hold of ZTerm. It's shareware, and is at version 0.85 as we speak (about to go to 0.9, finally, after several months). It'll be a little better than RR 9.4, although you _will_ be obligated to pay for it, of course. --Adam-- -- Adam Frix via cmhGate - Net 226 fido<=>uucp gateway Col, OH UUCP: ...!osu-cis!n8emr!cmhgate!200.2!Adam.Frix INET: Adam.Frix@p2.f200.n226.z1.FIDONET.ORG
