[comp.sys.mac.misc] Renumbering equations automatically in Word?

jlhaferman@l_eld09.icaen.uiowa.edu (Jeffrey Lawrence Haferman) (10/01/90)

I use Word 4.0 for writing papers with lots of equations. Sometimes,
I will write a section of a papar and a colleague will write another
section, and later we will merge the two. Of course, both of us begin
numbering our equations at (1) and when we merge the papers we need
to renumber the equations and all references to them.

Has anyone come up with a clever way to do this automatically?

There is an application called Wordref which I think may do this for you. It is
a simple bibliography and cross-reference manager, but it does its work all
right. It is distributed under the Shareware system and has been on the
mac.binaries group.
