Thanks for all the informative replies and me-too's over the last day.
I was surprised by the amount of message that came thru wrt this.
It seem that there is a great hidden demand for these three for the Mac
so I'll summarize everything here:
o there are two ports of yacc for the Mac: MacYacc and Bison.
Both are available on sumex. I just got a copy of Bison from
rascal.ics.utexas.edu because I couldn't get thru to sumex.
o there is one port of lex for the Mac called Flex. It is
available on sumex and rascal.
o there is one port of awk for the Mac called Gawk. It was
just submitted to sumex.
Bison and Flex are ports of GNU yacc and lex.
I just got my copies today so I can't say anything about performance.
