I have experienced some problems with a TECMAR 40 tape device. It will only back up some of the cartridges of a ProDrive 40. On 2 out of 5 cartridges on a office it will stop after doing about 2meg. I can press the pause button, but can't select any menu item. Nor can I cancel. At one occasion it even messed things up in the directory, so that it was easiest to reformat the cartridge.. It is being used onv old Mac plus machines. We even contacted the danish importer to make sure we got the newest version of the software. Which we did. There is no virus on the cartridges. This is what disinfectant says. the machines are also using sam intercept. Fastback II v2.10 will back up the cartridges, but it is much slower than the tecmar software. 1meg a minute is too slow. Anybody who has a solution to this problem ? The Tecmar tapebackup is new, so maybe it should be replaced with another prodrive. thanks, Povl -- ******************************************************* Povl H.
