I was doing memory upgrades and changes to several SEs and SE/30s today, and one of my computers has a problem that obviously occurred whil I was doing this. The SE's monitor is a checkerboard pattern (16 across by 10-1/2 down) upon bootup. The "happy Mac" icon is then superimposed on this, but then nothing else happens to the screen. The disk being booted from (built-in hard drive or floppy) goes through its whole boot sequence, and then nothing happens. Keyboard and mouse don't work, and the screen doesn't change. What happened? Anyone know how to fix this? Please email to an address below... Thanks!
