[comp.sys.mac.misc] uuencode/decode & shar help

carl@tardis.Tymnet.COM (Carl Baltrunas) (10/21/90)

I thought that there was a utility that converted a uuencoded file into a
regular file (handling CR/NL if specified for text rather than binary). I
can't seem to find anything in my archived docs to remind me of it's name.

Anyone who knows of such a utility (or application that has this capability)
please E-Mail me an answer.

Also, if anyone knows of a utility that will take a unix shar (shell archive)
file and extract the appropriate components, please let me know.

I almost forgot... I want to run these on my Mac, not on my unix system. I
have the standard stuff to do this on my unix system at work, but want to be
able to process file, internet mail, etc on my Mac without copying files back
and forth.

Thanks in advance. -Carl

send it directly to my mac. Thanks again.
