[comp.sys.mac.misc] Apple Lisa For Sale. Honest!

gaynor@magnus.ircc.ohio-state.edu (Jim Gaynor) (10/30/90)

Well, I guess it's time to jump on the "I'm selling my
computer" bandwagon. Besides, it's been a long time since I sold a
system. So...

For Sale to highest bidder:

Apple Lisa 5/20 [That's right, a Lisa!]

o Hardware:
	- 1 megabyte of RAM
	- 5 megabyte ProFile external Hard Drive
	- Apple Parallel interface card.
	- 400k 3.5" floppy drive

o Software:
	- Lisa Office System 3.1 - includes:
Most recent (last) revision of Lisa Operating System,
		LisaDraw, LisaCalc, LisaGraph, LisaList, LisaWrite,
		LisaTerm, and LisaGuide.
	- Lisa/Mac XL Migration Kit: for translating to Macintosh.

o Printer:
	- Apple Dot Matrix Printer
(not an ImageWriter - this sucker's got a -parallel- interface).

o Output:
	- 2 serial ports
	- 1 parallel port (needed for ProFile).
	- 1 parallel port (Apple card used for printer).
	- 12" monochrome screen built-in. (???x???)

o Documentation:
	- Full documentation is included for all hardware and software.

o Errata:
	- Still supported/repaired by Sun Remarketing. Sun offers a
number of hardware and software upgrades. (Hard drives,
	  accelerators, memory, epansion cards, etc.)
	- Solid construction. More modular and easier to take apart
than any current Mac. In all honesty, the Lisa was a
	  -very- well designed machine.
	- Plenty of internal expansion room. Room for 2 more expansion
cards and an internal hard drive.
	- Can be made functionally identical to a Mac Plus with
MacWorks Plus software from Sun. (not included).
	- Hell of a collector's item/computing antique! <grin>

o Price:
	- Well, let's see here. You figure a Plus is selling for $699
new these days. So... <mumblemumble figger think>...

	- $300 or best offer. We'll haggle over the shipping.
That includes the computer, printer, hard drive, cables,
and everything else you need to get rolling.

o Who:
	- Contact Jim Gaynor (me) at one of the following...
