I'll try to make this short as most aspects of the argument have already been covered. I have owned 2 macs and have used them at home and work for six years. Currently I use a Mac IIfx at work. I was and still am a die hard mac user. I even worked for a ms-dos computer store while using a mac at home. I've turned a department here at hopkins away from the brink of ms-dos destruction and converted them to mac. Now for NeXT. I had a Mac IIci 8/80 w/ 13" color at home. I was able to sell it for the cost of a NeXTstation AND a laser printer. Color is (was) great but unless you've got 10k it's hard to get QUALITY hardcopy. Besides all the neat features of the NeXT (interface builder etc.) it's just plain slick. I bought one of the first macs when everyone in the pc market sounded like every mac user today. Fact is the mac was slick as snot and my money will always go to the innovator, not the big "accepted" companies. I can do it as well or better for less cash - and I still have an fx at work!
