I've been running PageMaker 4.0 with the default 1.5Meg RAM reserved for its activities. I boosted this up to 4.5Meg (on a 5Meg-RAM MacII) using the command-i menu from the PageMaker icon. (I then even rebooted the machine ... was this necessary?) End result was that I saw no difference whatsoever. I know because I had a second identical Mac next to it for comparison, and with or without the additional 3Meg breathing room, PageMaker 4.0 moved (or should I say heaved) along at the same snail's pace. If I was overlooking something, I hope someone will let me know. Is abundant RAM useful only with the MultiFinder? Does the RAM cache feature in the general cdev figure in any of this? -Rick Vitale.
