I have SingleShare running on my IIcx as a demo and want to put it into production use on a Plus we have laying around. I would appreciate hearing from people who use SingleShare in a production environment; i.e. does it really work? I know a Plus isn't really what you want for a file server, but we have one laying around that I can probably scrounge; I figure once people see how wonderful AppleShare is, I'll be able to pry loose funds to get a better server. One of the things the SS docs suggest is upping the open file limit using Suitcase II or FEdit. Where does one get these? Are they commercial products or can I ftp them from somewhere (not that the two are always mutually exclusive...) And, a general question about AppleShare. What happens when the server goes down and people still have disks mounted? Do the clients crash and/or get hung, or do the mounted volumes just become unusable? -- Roy Smith, Public Health Research Institute 455 First Avenue, New York, NY 10016 roy@alanine.phri.nyu.edu -OR- {att,cmcl2,rutgers,hombre}!phri!roy "Arcane?
