[comp.sys.mac.misc] Want info on Carrying Case for SE/30;also, anyone selling one?

arti@vax1.acs.udel.EDU (Arti Nigam) (11/08/90)

I plan to take my Mac SE/30 on board on an international british airways
flight. Any advice from someone who has taken their mac on airplane?
I found two carrying cases, sold by MacWarehouse. A Targus case for $69,
'made of Zilicone treated nylon...and an impact absorbing high-density
foam layer,' that has a pouch that can hold an extended keyboard. And,
"The 'Ultimate' SE Carrying Case" by I/O Design, Inc., for $79, with
"sturdy Dupont Cordura nylon and half inch high density foam padding."

Which is better? Does anyone know of any others (upto the same price)?
Does anyone want to sell one they already have that is in good shape?
Are there any problems in taking a Mac by plane? Does anyone know if these
carrying cases fit into airplane cabin storage compartments?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give. Planning to fly on Dec. 18.

Sincerely,
Arti Nigam

Me too. I want to take my SE/30 on a plane. What I am particularly looking
for is a bag with rucksac style straps so I can carry it on my back instead
of having to hold it by a carrying handle or shoulder strap. Any suggestions?
I'll take any bag, any price (within reason).
